Shamanic Rattle Shipibo made from natural tutuma
Shamanic Rattle Shipibo is a Peruvian musical instrument handcrafted from tutuma, a naturally dried gourd. The outer surface is engraved with decorative motifs inspired by the traditions of the Shipibo-Konibo people, famous for their symbolic geometric patterns known as “kené”.

Locally known as “huevos de maracas”, these instruments produce a delicate and natural sound thanks to the seeds contained inside the gourd. Every rattle is different: the engravings, the natural shapes and the carved details reflect the artisan’s manual work and make each piece truly unique.
