LaMamita is an Italian brand of alpaca and natural cotton clothing, entirely handcrafted, born from a long experience in knitwear and textile production.

For over 40 years we have collaborated directly with artisans in Peru and Guatemala, creating garments made from natural fibres and traditional techniques, with respect for quality and people. Every LaMamita garment is the result of careful craftsmanship, where the choice of materials and techniques follows precise criteria: we use selected pure alpaca wool and natural cotton to offer comfortable, durable and authentic clothing.

Our idea of clothing is linked to a concrete vision of ethical and sustainable fashion: no industrial production, but small batches, manual work and real attention to detail.

LaMamita’s Italian designers create exclusive models, made in Peru by the best local artisans, with whom we have built a direct and lasting relationship based on fair recognition of their work.

Alpaca wool: the natural fibre for clothing

The main material used for winter clothing is completely natural: pure alpaca wool, carefully selected.

The colours can be natural, meaning undyed, or obtained through plant-based dyes made from flowers, leaves and roots, giving the fibre softness and unique quality.

Natural colours and handcrafted details

Plant-based dyes allow garments to be washed without any issues while preserving their natural characteristics.

Garments that require closures are enriched with handcrafted ceramic buttons, hand-painted and made with unique colours and designs.

Handcrafted natural cotton clothing

For the summer season, LaMamita uses high-quality Peruvian cotton, especially Pima and Tanguis cotton, two natural fibres known for their resistance, softness and breathability.

These fabrics allow the creation of light, fresh garments that feel comfortable on the skin, perfect for warmer days.

Handcrafted cotton from Guatemala

Alongside Peruvian cotton, we use handcrafted fabrics from Guatemala, characterised by manual weaving, ancestral patterns and unique colours.

Each fabric tells a story and makes every garment unique.

LaMamita offers handcrafted clothing that combines quality, originality and respect for both the environment and people. Each garment is made in small batches following the principles of slow fashion.

All our garments, thanks to their refined craftsmanship, are exclusive and produced in limited quantities.
