Chinchero textiles are handwoven using alpaca wool. The weave is dense, and the colors are created using natural dyes derived from plants, flowers and roots. The patterns of these fabrics recall ancient Inca symbols. A traditional craft that dates back to ancient times and is still kept alive today by Peruvian artisans.
